PAIA Act

In terms of Section 51(2) of the Promotion of Access to Information Act No.2 of 2000 (“the Act”), Private Bodies such as MSB Micro Systems are required to compile and publish a manual with the information as set out herein.

PAIA is legislation that creates a framework for the right to access information as enshrined in section 32 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. The purpose of this legislation is to promote a culture of transparency, accountability and good governance both in the private and public sectors.

In terms of Section 51(2) of the Act, the head of a Private Body may, on a regular basis, update this manual. Based on the provisions of this section, MSB Micro Systems will, as and when it deems it necessary, update or amend this manual.
